Michaela Nash

Michaela Nash is a Northern Irish artist and arts writer. She was born in Belfast and is currently based there, with a studio at the Flax Arts Emerging Artist Programme. She is also a member of the Lucida Collective. She is queer, and multiracial with Irish, French and Merina Malagasy origins. Her personal experiences frame projects around queer ecology, belonging/home and the body/land. She works with painting, photography, sculpture and video installation.

Her writing spans hybridised and experimental art wring. She incorporates art criticism, prose, and poetry into texts that become an ekphrastic layer to an artwork or exhibition.
